La Noche de Hivos

Arts and culture play a vital role in building democratic societies. Development organisation Hivos suppor ts independent initiatives worldwide that encourage creativity and create space for dialogue. In this way, Hivos gives people a voice. LAFF and Hivos present La Noche de Hivos at April 19th with the feature films Los Viejos by Martin Boulocq and Fe by Alejo Crisóstomo. The latter is supported by Hivos partner Cinergia, the Central American film fund. In addition, on Saturday April 21st Hivos hosts one of the LAFF open air screenings. Costa Rican feature film A Ojos Cerrados by Hernán Jiménez will be screened as soon as it gets dark.
